Buy a Beautiful Hand-Loomed Cambodian Silk Scarf for $20 to Support Dental Hygiene for Rural Cambodian Children

In Developing countries, dental care and dental hygiene education is almost nonexistant, especially in the rural areas.

Some 60-90 percent of schoolchildren have dental decay. Left untreated, it can lead to painful and dangerous abcesses, gum disease and loss of permanent teeth.

You can change that!

With your purchase of a silk scarf, hand-loomed by rural women in Cambodia you can support dental hygiene education for their children.

I will be leaving for Cambodia in a few days.  I will be traveling throughout rural areas accompanied by volunteer Cambodian dentist, Dr. Khom Pisal.  She will be teaching dental hygiene to rural children. We will be distributing toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental floss to the children and their parents.

Many children will benefit from the purchase of your scarf.  The funds will be donated to A Mine Free World Foundation for this dental hygiene program. .

Supplies will be purchased in Cambodia:

A carton of 288 tubes of 28mg toothpaste - $28.80

A carton of 144 toothbrushes - $17.28

YOU can help MANY children with your purchase!

Consider your purchase for a birthday or Christmas gift.  Each scarf comes packaged with the a colorful insert telling their story.

Our first target area is Battambang province and the rural villages in Koas Krala district.  Along with volunteering to give out bicycles to the rural children through Rotary Wheels for Learning - http://rotarywheelsforlearning.blogspot.com/ , Dr. Pisal will also be volunteering to teach dental hygiene to the rural families.
